After 12 Years in New York I Moved Away… Here is Why…

After 12 years of living and loving NYC, I’ve decided it’s time to move on. The energy in NYC is undeniably fabulous and one of a kind, but…

1. The world is so diverse and expansive. I want to know what it’s like to live in different places. What’s the vibe? What are the pros and cons? And where does my lifestyle fit best?

2. NYC’s energy is both empowering and draining. Depending on your goals and your vibe, it can help you move forward or slow you down. You learn to navigate its energy like currents in water, but sometimes you need a new vibe to push you in a different direction.

3. A new place offers room for growth. It expands your mindset, reshapes your thinking, and deepens your understanding of the world and society. I’m thrilled to gain a fresh perspective and see how it transforms my life.

4. Exploring the world from a new center. If you’ve already experienced everything within a three-hour flight radius, choosing a new “center” can open up a fresh circle of opportunities. By immersing yourself in the places within this new radius, you can go from a tourist-tasting to fully embracing the local vibe, gaining a deeper understanding and appreciation for each destination - even if you’ve visited before.

5. Exploring yourself becomes easier in a new place. We get used to following the same pattern, schedule, hobbies and while you could try new things remaining where you are, coming to a new place could help you explore what’s out there for you, what may interest you from a clean slate. Explore your new self and let yourself be re-born.

6. Meeting new people. needless to say, I’m already missing my friends so much, but getting to a new place creates a new atmosphere allowing to meet new people. For me, having friends all over the world makes me feel that the world is smaller and everywhere I go is just another “home” with people I know and love. Besides, I’m waiting all my friends at my new home and can’t wait to show around, soon as I settle myself 😉

Would you ever move to a new place? If so, where would you consider going next? :)
