Balance in a Headstand. Wisdom from Yoga.

One of my biggest accomplishments this year is learning to do a headstand

There’s a lot of wisdom that comes from yoga. Different movements and positions in yoga always teach me something that is applicable in real life. 


So when I was learning to do a headstand, my yoga instructor taught me: before you lift your feet off the ground, make sure you’re ready and consciously move your feet up feeling the balance. 


Don’t you think it’s the same in real life? If you jump into something too quickly, you get off balance. Sure, timing is important and we may always hesitate in front of something challenging. But you want to make sure you take the steps to prepare yourself, take a brief pause to feel the right moment and to tell yourself “I’m ready!”. Then, dive in with full focus, determination and strong balance.
